The Ceremony

The beauty surrounding Zongoene Lodge lends itself to couples in search of a romantic and unique ceremony venue.

Feel the warm sand between your toes as you walk towards the water where a platted palm leaf arch and your husband to be are waiting to welcome you. With the hum of the crashing waves and the distant cry of seagulls as your melody, all that is left to do is embrace and celebrate every moment. Alternatively, guests can tie the knot in the idyllic garden under the shade of the towering trees or in the lush indigenous tropical forest with picturesque views of the Limpopo River mouth.

Should the weather not be in your favour, bridal parties are welcome to make use of the main lodge building for the ceremony, overlooking the swimming pool and the gardens.

Feel on top of the world when choosing to host your ceremony at the Monte Bello lighthouse, with views of the grandiose Limpopo River valley. This distinctive ceremony venue lends itself to photographers, creating dramatic, unique and unforgettable photo memories.

The Reception

The open air Boma, with its rustic cement floor, enormous trees and sparkling lights is bound to set the mood for a romantic and mesmerizing evening. This spacious venue can accommodate 120 guests, allowing adequate space for the buffet as well as a central dance floor. With the warmth of the fire pits, the smell of the ocean and the African night sky overhead, prepare for a memorable night filled with laughter, dancing and fun.

For couples in search of a slightly more formal reception venue, Zongoene Lodge offers two indoor reception venues – the conference centre or the restaurant situated at the main lodge building. The conference centre can accommodate 120 guests while the restaurant, decorated in a traditional colonial Mozambican style, can seat 60 guests.
